Oh Jonathon, I am absolutely shaking. So, so sorry. I have been away since thursday and just back. I always check Gerald's blog and was devastated to hear the news. Gerald had such a special place in my heart, after his love and support to Karen. He became a lovely friend of ours and I remember happy times spent together. Poor Gerald, he never managed to teach me to jive, and how he tried. I will phone you but am too tearful just now. Love to you allxx
Your message made me dip back into Gerald's blog once more and re-look at his life. I'm so glad it wll be there for all time for his friends to enjoy.
Thank you Jonathan.I can't say anything remotely adequate; I'll miss Gerald's wit and artistry immensely.Sympathy and best wishes to all of you.
Oh I am so very sorry to hear this
What a shock this is. So sorry I can't come to say my last good byes to kind, generous, talented, one in millions... Gerald. We'd got re-acquainted on face-book. We'd planed to come and see him. He's sorely missed and leaves a big hole. My deepest sympathy to Jonathan and all the family. Wild horses wouldn't have kept me away but politics do.
Dear JonathanIt was a shock to hear that your father Gerald passed away.I have a lots of good memory with him.I offer you and all the family my deepest condolences on this dark day.Hina from Japan
