A Taste Of Honey At Joe's Cafe

Purchased 1968 with a bit to do
Bought in the sixties for a song, originally an old coaching inn "The Angel and Crown"but had been disused for 15 years and heavily vandalised. I spent one year restoring the building and barns and ran it as an antique business for a number of years.liked it so much I am still living in it in spite of the ghosties but the business long gone. The barn on the left is now my studio..jpg)
Seems a crime now but I used this prototype clubman which I bought from Stevens for newsreel dispatch riding before pictures could be beamed across space and where speed was needed.Dodgy job but well paid and I was still alive after five years riding. Poor old Venom well clapped out though. Psst Dont think I ever taxed it !
Two cartoons by my father who was resident cartoonist on the London Star throughout WW2
My mum in the 1920s or if the babe is me, early 30s, as I am one of 7 children so I wouldnt take a bet on it. I do think the Thames on a punt is pure bliss and I spent a lot of time on them in the 50s when I was supposed to be in art school and was lucky enough to have later lived in a barge "Lord Churchill" on the river in the 60s
