Back (and it hurts)

Thank you all very much for all your kind comments and Emails, gave me a bit of a glow but maybe that was from those damn great machines they shove you under in the hospital?
I cant answer you all individually but be assured your cheques are in the post.
What was thought to be sciatica turned out to be a crushed vertebrae and while testing for my misbehaving blood they found another devil in the woodpile but luckily early stages so curable for which they start zonking in two weeks time.
My posts will be erratic for a while as I move very slowly now except for the toilet so you can all have a rest from trivia.
LOVE YOU ALL

GERALDGEE DOES THE 60s

Outside my shop (The Saturday shop) in Kensington park road, now a snazzy Italian restaurant.
To tell the truth I was far more interested in clocks and Victorian toys and didn't go in for buying peoples treasured possessions unless they were the above and not worth that much anyway...So went into stripped pine (one of the first)
where hard work was part of the deal excuse pun
Stuck it for a while but London started getting unfriendly what with drug pushers, muggers, parking wardens and market inspectors each with their little nasty empires so we moved down to Somerset which was about ten years behind and live happily ever after. Except the traffic wardens followed us down.

Deepest Wales...secret valley

In my slightly younger days I cleared all this land(part of my brothers estate) with a hand sickle, saw and a scythe. Originally the brambles were some four to six foot high and no grass just a muddy track. up on the right was a magic pond that I also cleaned.(bottom picture)
I could have done it in a fraction of the time using a motorised strimmer but I hated the noise in such a peaceful place, anyway motors are only good on motorcycles.
In my next life I want to be a forester assuming there are any forests to clear and assuming the owners don't mind them being cleared by hand.
I am thankful That I got so much pleasure from this little piece of land....Much better than going to the pictures or even a decent party.
