I'm reminded of French Films when I lived in London 'as a lass'. My friend and I used to go to them and say we'd enjoyed them because it made us look sophisticated! But I was in the dark (literally) most of the time!

First film I ever saw in a cinema was Ben Hur. The cigarette/icecream ladies would shine torches and shout "Nae shagging in the back row." I had no idea what she was shouting about.
