Thames....Docklands

Taken from a pleasure boat on a trip to Greenwich mid sixties.
Not an skyscaping office block in sight
More interesting in those days.
Sad when the docks went.
and London lost its
character.

  5. Agree completely about the docks. I used to walk past the old Manchester Dock when I worked in Salford and even though it was as rough as a badger's bottom it had a rough-hewn boisterous energy about it.

    And I do miss the sound of ships' hooters at the strike of New Year.
