SCRAPBOOK 20....The Saturday Shop

During the sixties we ran a shop just off the Portobello Road.Mostly pine furniture and what we called "Snob Junk"Victoriana clocks, toys, lamps etc.Was fun for a while then that sort of stuff got overpriced for .our sort of customer (flat dwellers)and the market just became a tourist joint.
So we fled London
for the rural
life

  2. My first visit to Portobello Road was in the late sixties. I like to think that I passed your shop and looked in.
