this is a cartoon drawn by my father Leslie Grimes for the London Evening Star in a series called "ALL MY OWN WORK"during world war two. To explain the joke a little,during the war all clothes and furniture etc had to be austerity by law...hence.
This original and others were spotted hanging on the wall of the Ivy Restaurant and many thanks for the photos taken by the spotter.
