Most of my family. One still to come.must have been 38 or 39,the two older boys just back from Austria on a holiday swap,GeraldGee is bottom left ,.Sister Barbara showing a leg as she did for many years on becoming a ballet dancer. The rest of the brood went into films and fame and fortune....
I became a dispatch rider and enjoyed myself
slightly wickedly
Of all the bikes I've owned this one gave me the most fun...Not fast. Not off road stuff for but poodling along country lanes and exploring the west country. Nice 500cc single chuffing along in a friendly way.I sold it for thr SR road bike version but that was a mistake, not half the fun.
An old coloured ink sketch of London night scenes, typical of the stuff I used to do in the late 40s in my early teens. Exhibited they surprisingly sold rather well and helped pave the way into art school and all that jazz.
This mornings occupation, overpainting an old oil on board.Have had several goes at this and have now decided to give it a rest and move on and hang it somewhere.
Oil on board 24"x18"
.Getting away from it all was a weekend nr Puddletown Dorset. In those days a long trip from London down empty twisty country roads and not a motorway in sight.A dream cottage in dream countryside....Bliss.
This one still going strong well into the 50s.One was obliged to learn the words. The tune stuck in the mind....happy days till I was called up for National service.
