Dear GeraldGee - I'm absolutely fascinated by the light and colours in your pictures! They always have something mysterious (without being sinister), they are self-absorbed without being cold, Autonom, no longer subservient to anyone or anything - I cannot express it easily - so I will use a word not used for visual experience: resting in themselves, It's not serene I am looking for - sagacious might be the word?
I know it now: it is the light that I love when it falls through trees on the grass in long shades after five o'clock p.m - the light I connect with The Forsythe Saga (don't ask me why) or sometimes Henry James. Cool, yet tender.
What can I say to follow such a glowing comment from Britta! All I can do is endorse her every word. But I can add that, for an ex-Brit (dual nationality) you capture home-sickness very well!
