Pen and ink on layout paper.
did a lot of these when I was a teenager pre art school. They actually sold very well mainly to theatrical people and were exhibited in theatre foyers and later in the Rowley Galleries.
I stopped doing them when I entered Art school as they were rather lightweight and not considered serious painting.
I later felt a bit guilty about selling them when I later discovered coloured inks fade very fast!

Everything seems highly-coloured in our youth. I distinctly remember London being that bright when I was 20! If the ink has faded it means it will be easier on old eyes. The people you sold them to will be rheumy-eyed now!!!
ReplyDeleteI would be happy if one of them was fading on the wall of our front room. Smashing picture.
ReplyDeleteI like it. The colour suggests a frenzy of movement that give the painting a vitality often missing for art.
ReplyDeleteYou take care.
Yes. I wouldn't feel guilty at all, the drawing remaining as vibrant as ever!
